Torre Agbar (Barcelona) Bathed by the Mediterranean, Barcelona is located northeast of the Iberian Peninsula. It is the capital of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and its population of over 1,600,000 inhabitants. The city is divided into ten districts.

In the sports section, Barcelona has two major football stadiums. These are the Nou Camp and Cornella - El Prat (recently opened), where local teams play as both the F. C. Barcelona and R.C.D. Espanyol respectively.
